Panther Madness Basketball Challenge |

| You're invited to compete in Panther Madness at 8 p.m., Oct. 19 in Alumni Hall. The event is hosted by ODU men's and women's basketball and the Center for Student Involvement. You'll have an opportunity to compete in a dunk contest, skills challenge, shooting stars and final shot challenge. Admission is free. The first 150 fans will receive a free t-shirt. Enter to win a raffle that features free ODU gear. Participants will also have a chance to win books for spring semester. |

A Life and Career in Sports |

| 6-7 p.m. in the Griffin student center, rooms 259-260. Ohio Dominican University welcomes assistant commissioner of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Jerry Snodgrass as its featured speaker for A Life and Career in Sports. This free event is sponsored by ODU's Sport Management Department and Office of Graduate Admissions. It will highlight career opportunities in the expanding sport industry and how students can turn their passion for sports into a career. "Jerry Snodgrass has spent nearly 40 years in the sports industry in a wide variety of roles, and we're excited for him to share with us some of his invaluable knowledge and unique insight into this growing field," said Jim strode, Ph.D., associate professor and program director of ODU's Sport Management Department.
