A) your Unilever vs Nestle assignment (due next Tuesday):
1) Visit the corporate web sites and carefully read the information presented, examining factors, such as global coverage, number of product categories, and number of brands within each category.
2) Examine the number of standardized vs. global brands (i.e. standardization vs. adaptation) for each and even the product categories and brands where the two compete.
3) After finishing the analysis, write a statement about the area(s) where Unilever is stronger than Nestle and vice versa.
B) your team presentation #5 (to be given next Thursday): business climate within the country, some potential cultural issues involved in face-to-face negotiations, identify a firm from Ohio that operates within the country that you are studying.
C) Chapter readings/quizzes (due next Friday): ch. 12 Planning & Organizing, and ch. 15 Channels.
