Risk Management Career Week

DescriptionFeb. 1-5, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Griffin student center. Ohio Dominican University (ODU) will host "Risk Management Career Week" Feb. 1-5, 2016. The weeklong event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the main level of the Bishop James A. Griffin Student Center, located on ODU’s main campus at 1216 Sunbury Road in Columbus. ODU is hosting the event in recognition of National Insurance Careers Month. The event is free for all ODU students. All majors are invited to attend. Each day, ODU will welcome representatives from a local insurance company to meet with students and share with them the many internship and career opportunities available in the insurance industry. A 2013 study conducted by Regionomics and the Insurance Resource Council expects an additional 26,000 insurance industry-related jobs will need to be filled in Ohio by 2020. The week’s schedule is as follows: Monday, Feb. 1 – Motorist Mutual Insurance Group Tuesday, Feb. 2 – Hylant Group Wednesday, Feb. 3 – Century Insurance Group Thursday, Feb. 4 – MAPFRE Insurance Friday, Feb. 5 – Oswald Companies Attendees will be entered to win prizes, including a $300 VISA gift card and ODU parking pass.ODU offers a wide-range of certificate and degree options to help prepare students for careers in the expanding insurance industry.
