 | OhioLTC Middle School campers participate in leadership activities that build leadership skills, foster independent thinking and enhance good citizenship during this residential camp held on the campus of Ohio Dominican University. Campers in leadership groups attend lively workshops, dynamic leadership activities and action-oriented simulations in order to build and enhance leadership skills. Campers also have the opportunity to attend workshops to enhance participation in the Jr. Ohio Model United Nations program. (from Ohio Leadership Institute Website) |

| Many children lose ground in reading over the summer, and begin the school year at a level lower than what they achieved the previous year. Students in the Institute’s summer programs make substantial gains in reading skills and return to school with increased confidence and excitement about reading. Classes are offered at eight program levels, reaching students from 4 years old through adulthood. Students attend class once a week for five weeks. Between classes students follow a program of structured home practice, implementing the skills and strategies learned in class and developing good reading habits. In addition, parents receive the tools they need to support their children both during and after the program. (from Institute of Reading Development website) |
