 | Gerry Straub has had an illustrious career as a television producer in New York and Hollywood, producing popular shows such as General Hospital and The Doctors. His work has appeared on every major network. But having experienced a personal conversion, he now applies his considerable expertise as a film producer, filmmaker, photographer and critically acclaimed author to uncovering the living conditions of the world’s poorest people. In this workshop, Gerry will explore how film transforms people’s hearts and can be used to serve the poor. His films shed light on poverty and its crushing impact in both human and spiritual dimensions. Gerry fleshes out the Gospel call to care for “the least” in our society through his own conversion story and with powerful clips from his many films. 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Martin De Porres Center on ODU's campus.
