Columbus artists Martha G. Michael and Brooke Hunter-Lombardi explore the materiality and physical process of artistic production. The exhibition is an exploration of the process made physical or three-dimensional. Martha Michael intended to create a series of collograph prints, which is a type of printmaking where texture is built on a matrix, then “printed” on a press. Instead, she was drawn to the energy and materiality of the print matrix itself. This exhibition is an exploration of the process made physical or three-dimensional.
