Tea and Company - Tea in Literature
Date09/19/2015
DescriptionJoin us again this year for our ever popular High Tea fundraiser! Last year’s fundraiser was hardly over before guests were asking to have Dr. Ann Hall join us again as our featured speaker. After enjoying an afternoon tea menu and a brief history of tea, Dr. Hall will look at the importance of tea in the works of writers such as Henry James, George Orwell, Jane Austin, and Oscar Wilde. Special guests will join her in reading various passages. The afternoon tea menu will once again include traditional sandwiches, scones, and sweets. And of course, you’ll want to take your chances on the raffle, finding just the right item for yourself or to use as a gift. $35.00 pre-registration required, please register by September 14. Registration may be accomplished in person, via mail (print out the form on our web page), or online by credit card. 2 - 4 p.m. at the Martin De Porres Center
