 | Wehrle Hall Gallery opening: 5-7 pm, Friday, Aug. 26. Exhibit runs Aug 21 - October 23, 2016. The title of this exhibition comes from Thomas Hardy’s Under the Greenwood Tree - "To dwellers in a wood, almost every species of tree has its voice as well as its feature." Ohio Dominican University Fine Art alum and master woodworker Matt Bliss finds the voice of reclaimed and found wood to create beautiful and elegiac sculptures and wall pieces that defy traditional categorization. The Wehrle Gallery features collections and exhibits by Ohio Dominican students and faculty, and international and local artists. The gallery is open to the public throughout the year. Admission is free. |
