You should read chapter three.
Also, in preparation for Case Study #2, read page 59 from the text book. It describes seven points for the organization of rhetoric into a scientific body of knowledge ("Hunts Summary of Plato's True Rhetoric"). I'll explain Case Study #2 on Feb. 1.
